Beauty of Melody

My New Years post for everyone I hope you all have had a fantastic New Year so far

Although I liked the line art for this piece, I never wanted to finish the colouring...it was probably because of the detailing. Anyways, the character is holding a Chinese instrument called a guqin which in contrast to the atmosphere of this piece has a much richer and lower tone to it. I originally had darker purples and blues as the overall colour scheme but found the instrument stood out much better with a lighter setting.
