Today I've been getting things that have been giving me trouble. One is DA and the fact that I can no longer post thank you messages to people as quickly as I use to due to their spam thing and 500 Server Errors when I do it too quickly... =_= If this keeps up I won't be able to thank people through their pages cause of the amount of time it takes even without doing those who just fav one piece.

The major annoyance today is from a button company named The Yellow Tricycle [link] who I had ordered buttons from. First it said on their site that there was free shipping and there was no specifications as to whether there was any restriction to this advertisement. At no point had they mentioned as a Canadian customer that I was exempted from this. The order was $45 and i had paid in full. That was over a week ago and today I get another paypal request for $20 shipping. You read it right $20. That's almost half of the amount of the overall order.
When I inquired about why I was being charged a shipping fee when clearly they did not state that I needed to, the representative gave me a rude response saying that they weren't going to pay a full $25 to ship buttons and that I needed to pay for shipping, with disregard for the factor that they have just committed false advertising. They paid $5... now from all the vendors I have purchased from on the net i have never gotten one who:

1) did not specify the overall amount i needed to pay INCLUDING shipping upfront on first transaction
2) had a shipping price of more than $10 for the type of package I ordered
3) were so rude as to think that I was the one cheating them out of money because of their own mishap of not giving the proper information.

If I get slapped with a customs fee I will be sure to have them pay for it because their overall service was unprofessional and unorganized. Their proofs were horrible and saturated and the second proofs weren't even proper proofs only digital copy and pastes of my actual files which means i don't know if my buttons really did print out properly. Being the idiot I still paid them feeling "bad" in a sense for their own mistake but I clearly shouldn't have. The more I think about it the more I want to slap myself... very unhappy.

2 days before my birthday and another year older Having a party tomorrow so I have to get ready to set things up but I thought I'd write a journal since it might be a while before I post something new. First thank you to everyone who has recently watched/faved my work. I haven't had time to go through my inbox just yet but I will thank you when I get a chance.

Just a while ago I accompanies my dad to his company's award night (my mother doesn't seem to want to go every time). To my surprise when I sat down at the table, I saw a familiar shape swimming inside of the centerpiece. Low and behold it was a fighting fish (beta). Much more brighter purplelish blue than my oldest current fish Picky, this little one was entertaining throughout the night. I ended up getting to take it home and now I have 3 beta fish (kinda wish that his colour was different than my first fish though but he's healthy and eats well so I'm happy). Plus he's quite strong too. My dad added marbles to the bottom of his bowl and noticed yesterday that he started ramming them from the bottom and making them fly in the water lol but now I need to name the little guy but have no idea what to call him. If you have any suggestions please feel free to tell me.

I'm planning to do more buttons to sell and am already getting ready for the next upcoming convention. The thing I'm trying to figure out is whether i should order 1.25" or the regular 1" buttons. I don't know what people prefer. 1.25" hold more detail which means it can be used for more of my art pieces. But I doubt they would sell as well as my UmaiShi characters in 1" buttons. Plus I can have them done in acetate so the buttons look metallic rather than the regular flat colour but my brother is telling me the art isn't as emphasized with the metallic look. Such hard choices So I'm stuck as to what type of buttons to do.

First I want to wish everyone a very Happy New Year. I can't believe another year has passed by this quickly...I feel so unproductive when looking back. And now I await my mark on another year old so soon... it's interesting being a January baby cause some people stress over their birthday. I just don't feel older when my birthday comes so I guess I should be grateful haha.

Anyways the title of my journal does have a meaning to it. It looks like we have a little guest running around... We have a mouse in the house...or maybe mice. My mother was telling us not to leave crumbs and eat anywhere besides the kitchen but it seems the rodent is only centered inside the kitchen to begin with. Very ironic because of the factor that I was researching the difference between mice and rats before the end of 2007 to get ready for my newest shop design for 2008 [link] which features two rats.
Although mice and rats in technicality aren't of the same species they are still from the same descending ancestry. But after my research I know never to link the two together. My parents are going to try and get a mouse trap and I haven't been disturbed about the factor that this little rodent is running around...I think I should be... but I guess it's better than having a rat running around since they are more aggressive. I just hope they don't reproduce cause their litters are really big =_=;

That's the most exciting news of my New Year, funny isn't it? In any case I hope to do a lot more productive drawing this year despite my scheduling. Hahaha wow...What a Christmas. I had lots of fun spending it with my family. I just remembered while writing this however that I forgot my sketchbook at my cousin's place Anyways, sent off all my secret santa gifts and I hope my recipients like my horrid depiction of what they asked for on their list >.>; Plus I changed my avi for the season (dunno if I'll change back to my toaster in the New Year but if not then expect a newer one to be made once I get tired of this one haha)

I want to thank everyone who faved and watched me yesterday for making my Christmas Eve a fantastic one. The DD was a fantastic Christmas gift from DA and I thank and all those who may have suggested me to her for a DD cause you guys make me feel so special I thought I would cry lol XD But I feel like crying right now with all of the messages that piled up in my inbox hehe I gotta get busy with that today...Or when I can muster my time But thank you everyone I'm really glad you like my work.
